Overview

Hotel Levell is a three-star property in Amsterdam's Zuidoost district, appealing to budget-conscious travelers seeking modern amenities. Its stylish rooms come equipped with air conditioning, free WiFi, and Nespresso machines, making it a comfortable base. Located 15 minutes from the city center and close to Amsterdam Arena, it offers convenience for both leisure and business visitors.

Pros & Cons

What works
  • The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. This personal touch can really enhance your stay, especially in a bustling city like Amsterdam.
  • Rooms are consistently clean and well-maintained, which is crucial after a long day of exploring. A tidy space allows for a more relaxing retreat in the evenings.
  • The location is convenient for concert-goers, with quick access to both the Ziggo Dome and local transit. Being able to walk back after a late show is a significant plus.
  • Breakfast receives high marks for quality and variety, setting you up for a successful day of sightseeing. A hearty meal means you can tackle Amsterdam's attractions without the midday hunger pangs.
  • The beds are generally comfortable, providing the support needed after a day of walking. Quality sleep can make a huge difference in how you enjoy your trip.
  • The fridge in the room is a nice bonus, allowing you to store snacks or drinks. This small convenience can be a lifesaver when you want a late-night snack without venturing out.
  • Proximity to the train station means easy access to the rest of the Netherlands. Whether you're planning a day trip or catching a flight, having the station nearby saves time and hassle.
What doesn't
  • Some cleanliness issues have been reported, which can be off-putting. You want to feel comfortable in your space, and encountering even minor cleanliness lapses can affect that.
  • Parking fees can add up quickly, especially if you're driving into the city. Knowing about these additional costs upfront can help with budgeting during your stay.
  • Inconsistent shower temperatures can be frustrating when you just want a relaxing rinse after a long day. A fluctuating shower can disrupt your routine and leave you feeling unsatisfied.
  • The noise from other guests can be bothersome, particularly if you're in a room near common areas. Being able to sleep soundly is important, and disturbances can detract from your overall experience.
  • The surroundings may lack charm, with more buildings than scenic spots nearby. If you're looking for picturesque views or a vibrant street scene, you may feel a bit let down.

Location

Hotel Levell sits in the bustling business district of Amsterdam, specifically on Hullenbergweg. This area is well-connected yet less touristy than the city center, giving travelers a taste of local life. The nearby Amstelpark offers a green escape with its winding paths and tranquil ponds, making it a solid choice for a morning stroll or a quick picnic. For those interested in culture, the RAI Amsterdam convention center is just a short walk away, hosting various events throughout the year. While the hotel is not in the thick of the traditional attractions, the public transport options are excellent. The nearby train station quickly connects guests to Amsterdam's iconic sights, such as the Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank House, which are just a few stops away. This location works well for business travelers or anyone attending events at the RAI, as well as for those who prefer a quieter ambiance while still being a quick ride from the tourist hustle.

Great place for a few nights

Very clean and spacious room, and quiet. Near the stadium Ziggo Dome (where we came for a concert and stayed overnight). And, the breakfast was great!!

Good hotel in Amsterdam Arena/Bijlmer

It's located not too far from the train station and from the Arena and Ziggo Dome. I was there for a concert so perfect location. The metrostation is only a few minutes by foot and takes about 20 minutes to Amsterdam central station and 42 minutes to the Museumplein. The beds are good. The check in/out is quick. The fridge is a bonus.
The pillows were lumpy. The room is too warm. And you can hear other people clearly. The surroundings aren't attractive (only more buildings).

Room was cozy and comfortable and very clean
The only thing i would add as General for maybe all the hotels in Europe to have Plug Adapter for people coming from UK as it was struggle to find that in whole city. It would save alot of time and Customer would really be happy

We were really happy of this hotel and we will come back!

the location was wonderful, it’s 5min walk to get to the train station, and 15min ride to get to the centrum.
the only thing that wasn’t that good was that sometimes we coule hear people coming back late, after partying etc talking in the corridor. But it wasn’t a big deal.
Guests frequently praise Hotel Levell for its cleanliness, spacious rooms, and strategic location near the Ziggo Dome and public transport. Complaints often center around uncomfortable beds and noise from neighboring rooms, which can disrupt sleep.

Who Should Stay Here?

Hotel Levell caters well to budget-conscious travelers looking for a solid base in Amsterdam. Those attending events at the Ziggo Dome will find its location especially convenient, allowing them to easily walk back after a late show. The friendly staff and hearty breakfast provide a warm start to busy days of sightseeing, making it a good option for those eager to explore the city without breaking the bank. However, if you prioritize pristine cleanliness and quiet accommodations, you might want to explore other options. Reports of minor cleanliness issues and inconsistent shower temperatures can detract from the experience. Additionally, noise from other guests can be disruptive, particularly if you value a peaceful retreat after a long day. Families or travelers seeking a serene environment might find Hotel Levell lacking in those crucial comfort factors.
