Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is a major perk; it's just a short walk to the Natural History Museum and the train station, making it easy to explore the city without a hassle.
  • The staff truly shines here; they're friendly and attentive, which can make all the difference when you need assistance or recommendations.
  • Breakfast is a highlight, with a good selection that leaves you feeling energized for a day of sightseeing.
  • For the price, this hotel offers solid value; you get a clean, comfortable place to rest without breaking the bank.
  • The ambiance is relaxed and quiet, providing a nice refuge after a busy day in the city, despite some street noise.
  • Rooms are generally well-equipped; even if they aren’t luxurious, they serve their purpose for a short stay.
  • The hotel maintains a cozy vibe that feels more personal than larger chains, which can be refreshing when traveling.
What doesn't
  • Cleanliness can be a hit or miss; while some guests found their rooms clean, others reported issues like mold and general neglect.
  • Noise from neighboring rooms can be disruptive, especially if you're a light sleeper, as the walls and doors seem thin.
  • The actual rooms may not match the online photos, leading to disappointment for guests expecting a different experience.
  • A nearby pub creates late-night noise that can interfere with your rest, especially if you're looking for a quiet place to recharge.
  • Some rooms show signs of wear, and the overall condition could benefit from updates to enhance guest comfort.

9Exceptional

Compact and bijoux, small amount of work but great for price

Location excellent, really nice safe area in a beautiful street of mansions converted into small hotels. Breakfast was fabulous all in all excellent value for money.
Ok so I appreciate you get what you pay for but I don't think maintenance are doing an adequate job. Room 106 needs to be checked for following issues. Plug socket by bed nearest window faulty and light doesn't work. TV doesn't switch on. Shower drains very slowly, screens don't fit the shower base. Shower head won't stay put as the holder needs attention. Tap is plumbed in so hot is cold and vice versa. Small points which didn't spoil the stay but it's a bit lazy

Great location.
There’s a pub next to the hotel so as you can imagine we were hearing music and noise until late. Also people were moving furniture and beds on the floor above us every morning and we would heard everything. The floor was sticky as well.. but overall was good price and quality..

Who Should Stay Here?

Budget-conscious travelers will find value at 1 Lexham Gardens Hotel. Its proximity to attractions like the Natural History Museum makes it a convenient spot for sightseeing, and the friendly staff enhances the overall experience. Breakfast is a solid perk, providing a satisfying start to busy days exploring London. If you are looking for a decent place to rest your head without spending a fortune, this hotel fits the bill.
