Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is a major plus; being close to bus stops and a short distance from Wimbledon Station makes it easy to explore central London without the hassle of driving.
  • The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, which can make a big difference when you have questions about the area or need assistance during your stay.
  • Rooms are clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
  • The breakfast is worth mentioning, with a good variety of options that set you up nicely for the day ahead.
  • Having balconies in some rooms offers a nice touch, allowing you to enjoy fresh air and a bit of outdoor space.
  • The off-street parking is convenient, especially in a busy area where finding a parking spot can be a challenge.
  • The hotel is surrounded by local food outlets and shops, making it easy to grab a meal or supplies without venturing far.
What doesn't
  • The rooms are on the small side, which can be a bit cramped if you're traveling with multiple bags or need space to spread out.
  • Noise can be an issue, especially if your room faces the street, making it harder to get a good night's sleep.
  • Amenities are limited, which means you won't find features like a gym or pool, so plan your activities accordingly.
  • Some guests noted that cleaning could be more thorough, potentially impacting your comfort during the stay.

This hotel was peaceful with friendly staff..perfect for what we needed. Would definitely stay again

The hotel was perfect for us. It is in Wimbledon, a 2 minute walk from our daughters but also only 5 minutes from the main village and tube. There is secure parking and it was so quiet ( a Saturday evening). It is a basic hotel but perfect for our needs. We didn’t eat but the breakfast menu looked good.
We thought the bed would be a bit bigger as we went for the executive rather than cosy option but actually it was a reasonable size and comfy. Shower average, basic tea and coffee in room

Nice hôtel, quiet room but the room was cold, quilt was too thin d. As we had paid for and cold

Comfortable room and quiet at the back of the hotel, but the room was very cold when we arrived and the radiator struggled to raise the temperature. The quilt was not thick enough given the room temperature
Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and the hotel's convenient location near shops and transport links. However, several reviews highlight issues with room temperature and bedding comfort, indicating a need for better heating and thicker quilts.

Who Should Stay Here?

Budget-conscious travelers looking for a convenient base to explore London will find value at Antoinette Hotel Wimbledon. Its proximity to public transport makes it easy to reach central attractions without the stress of driving. Friendly staff and a decent breakfast add to the overall positive experience, making it a solid choice for those prioritizing location and cost over luxury. However, families or groups who need ample space and amenities may want to consider other options. The small rooms can feel cramped, especially with luggage. Additionally, guests seeking a quiet retreat should be aware of potential noise disturbances from the street. If your trip requires extensive amenities or larger accommodations, this hotel may not meet your expectations.
