Overview

Hyatt Place LAX/Century Blvd is a three-star hotel catering to travelers seeking convenience and comfort near Los Angeles International Airport. With free shuttle service and complimentary WiFi, it attracts both business and leisure guests looking for a hassle-free stay.

Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location near LAX is extremely convenient for travelers. You can easily hop on the complimentary shuttle and be at the airport in minutes, which takes a lot of stress out of early morning flights.
  • The rooftop pool is a nice touch, offering a place to unwind with a view. After a hectic day of travel, it's refreshing to take a dip while enjoying the California sunshine.
  • The breakfast options are solid, with plenty of choices to fuel your day. The quality of the food makes it worth getting up early, especially when compared to the overpriced airport fare.
  • Caleb and the rest of the staff genuinely seem eager to help. Whether it's a shuttle inquiry or a restaurant recommendation, their friendliness can make your stay feel a little more personal.
  • The gym has a good range of equipment, making it easier to fit in a workout. If you're used to keeping active while traveling, this won't disappoint.
  • Fast elevators mean you won't be waiting long to get to your room. After a long flight, that little convenience can feel like a big win.
  • The spacious rooms provide a comfortable retreat after a busy day. Even without views, you can still kick back and relax without feeling cramped.
What doesn't
  • Cleanliness issues were reported by several guests. This can take away from the overall comfort and make you question the hotel’s attention to detail.
  • Noise from the nearby airport can interrupt your sleep. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to pack some earplugs or consider asking for a quieter room.
  • Parking fees can add up quickly. Given the location, you might find yourself spending more just to park your car than on some of the amenities.
  • Room service prices can be outrageous. Paying $60 for two hamburgers isn't ideal, especially when the experience could involve more clarity about food options.
  • The shuttle situation can be confusing. If you need to catch a ride, make sure to clarify where to wait, or you might end up frustrated and missing your transport.
  • Some staff interaction at reception felt lackluster. While most employees were friendly, a few left much to be desired, which can impact your first impression.

Nice clean hotel with a good breakfast

Rooms were spacious and it was quiet and the breakfast had a good selection.
Lighting in the room was not the best.

It was nice, although we only stayed a few hours to get to our flight.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly! The bathroom has a great size, too.
The prices of the restaurant are insane! We paid $60 for two hamburgers. We ordered online for room service but at the end of ordering, it said the food will be available at the restaurant at 9:20, so I had to go down only to find out that someone had just left to deliver to the room.

7Very Good
The hotel was fine and we ate the buffet breakfast, which was ok, but not something special. They have a free shuttle from LAX.
While the cost was better
Guests consistently praise the Hyatt Place LAX/Century Blvd for its clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and complimentary breakfast options. However, complaints frequently arise regarding the high prices of the on-site restaurant and the limited dining options available nearby.

Who Should Stay Here?

Travelers on a tight schedule will appreciate the Hyatt Place LAX/Century Blvd. Its proximity to the airport and the complimentary shuttle make early flights much less stressful. The rooftop pool offers a pleasant escape for those looking to relax after long journeys. Breakfast is a highlight, with a variety of options that exceed standard fare, making it a worthwhile morning ritual before a day of travel. The staff, particularly Caleb, provide a warm touch that can enhance your experience. On the other hand, if cleanliness is a top priority, you might want to look elsewhere. Reports of unkempt rooms could dampen your stay, especially for those who enjoy a spotless environment. Light sleepers should be cautious about noise from the airport, which can disrupt restful nights. Finally, if you’re sensitive to parking fees or overpriced room service, you may find your budget stretched thinner than expected.
