Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is convenient for both business and leisure travelers, with quick access to downtown Nashville and local attractions, which means you can enjoy the city's music scene and dining options without a long commute.
  • The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, which can make a stressful trip feel more manageable, especially if you encounter issues or need recommendations.
  • For the price, the hotel offers decent amenities, making it a solid option if you're looking for budget-friendly accommodations without sacrificing too much on comfort.
  • The coffee served in the lobby is surprisingly good, a small but appreciated perk to help kickstart your day before heading out to explore.
  • Rooms are warm and comfortable, which is essential after a long day of sightseeing or work, ensuring you can unwind and get a good night's sleep.
  • The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing travelers to bring their furry friends along, which is a big plus for those who prefer not to leave pets behind.
  • The emergency response during the ice storm was commendable, showing that the staff prioritizes guest safety and comfort even during challenging situations.
What doesn't
  • The cleanliness of the bathrooms leaves much to be desired, which is a glaring issue when you expect a sanitary space for personal care.
  • Facilities are outdated, meaning you might encounter worn-out furnishings and appliances that detract from the overall experience of your stay.
  • The breakfast buffet lacks variety, so if you’re looking for a hearty morning meal, you may want to explore nearby restaurants instead.
  • The noise from the heating units can be disruptive, making it hard to maintain a comfortable temperature and enjoy a peaceful night's rest.
  • Long wait times for breakfast and check-in can be frustrating, especially during peak hours, making it feel like a chore rather than a relaxing start to your day.
  • Reports of pest issues like roaches in the bathroom raise serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, which can be off-putting for any guest.

10Exceptional

We were grateful to have gotten a room on short notice & staff was able to accommodate our requests.

Staff was friendly and helpful in the mist of ice storm emergency. Breakfast was good.
Heat unit was noisy and hard to keep at a comfortable temperature. Long wait lines for breakfast. Under the emergency the city was going through, that was understandable.

8Excellent

Convenient and reasonably priced

Many of the asked for conveniences. Helpful and friendly staff, room has all the needed comforts, quiet, and plenty of parking. The only issue I had was the on-site restaurants. The evening bar was on their winter schedule and closed, and the daytime restaurant had no vegetables, with the only protein being cold boiled eggs.

6Good
I could stay here for an event we are having here. There was an issue with our room and Kelly fixed it so quickly and was so kind.
It desperately needs a lot of updates. Also, only three plugs in our room worked. The tv kept going out. The ironing board needs a new pad. When I ironed my dress the holes on the board made a print on it.

3Poor

Will never stay agai.

Location only
Tub was backed up, having to stand in dirty water while taking a shower was truly disgusting. Tissues irritate me cause it was so rough and hard. Water pressure was not able to change due to it was so fast and hard was uncomfortable to skin.
Guests frequently praise the staff at Millennium Maxwell House Nashville for their friendliness and quick response to issues. The location also receives consistent commendation for its convenience. However, complaints about outdated facilities, noisy heating units, and issues with cleanliness and maintenance, such as backed-up tubs and insufficient dining options, are recurring themes that detract from the overall experience.

Who Should Stay Here?

This hotel is a good fit for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location over luxury. If you need easy access to downtown Nashville without shelling out too much cash, the Millennium Maxwell House offers a practical solution. Friendly staff can help navigate the local scene, and the decent in-house coffee is a nice perk before you head out. It's a suitable choice for business travelers who want a convenient base but don't require top-tier amenities. On the other hand, those seeking a comfortable and modern stay may want to look elsewhere. The cleanliness issues, outdated facilities, and limited breakfast options indicate a lack of attention to detail. If you value a pristine environment and want a more contemporary experience, this hotel might not meet your expectations. Families or couples looking for a romantic getaway should consider other accommodations that focus on comfort and quality.

The Verdict

Our Take

Millennium Maxwell House Nashville offers a convenient location and friendly staff at a budget-friendly price. However, outdated facilities and cleanliness issues in the bathrooms can dampen the experience. If you prioritize cost and access to the city's attractions, this hotel is a feasible choice. Just be prepared to seek breakfast options outside and manage your expectations regarding room quality.
