Pros & Cons

What works
  • The staff is genuinely friendly, and they go out of their way to help. Whether you need a charging block or a recommendation for dinner, they make you feel like a valued guest.
  • The location is convenient for travelers. Being close to Nashville Airport means you can get to your flight quickly, and the proximity to I-40 makes it easy to explore the city.
  • The breakfast offers a good variety, with options that can fuel your day of exploring. A hearty breakfast can set the tone for a busy day in Nashville.
  • The suites come equipped with a full kitchen, which is great for families or guests who prefer to cook some meals. Having a full-size refrigerator and stove means you can save money on dining out.
  • The amenities on-site, like the pool and gym, provide a nice way to unwind. After a long day of sightseeing, a dip in the pool can be refreshing.
  • The spacious suites make it comfortable for longer stays. You have room to move around, which is especially important if you're traveling with family or kids.
  • The property feels safe and secure, giving you peace of mind during your stay. You want to know that your belongings are safe while you enjoy your time in Nashville.
What doesn't
  • Some areas of cleanliness need attention, which can be off-putting. Stained carpets and unclean bathrooms detract from the overall comfort of your stay.
  • The rooms are showing their age, with outdated furniture and fixtures. An older room can feel less inviting and may not meet the standards expected from a chain hotel.
  • Certain amenities, like the pool, may be closed during your visit. If you're looking forward to lounging by the pool after a day in the city, finding it closed can be a letdown.
  • Maintenance issues can crop up, such as clogged drains or malfunctioning ice makers. These problems can disrupt your stay and necessitate extra trips to the lobby.
  • Insects, like cockroaches, have been reported by guests. Encountering pests can be alarming, especially for families traveling with children.

10Exceptional

My Nashville trip

The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly to begin with and when I realized that I had forgotten a block for my phone charger he let me borrow one overnight.
There was nothing to not like except having to leave.

10Exceptional
Great hotel property felt more like an apartment complex more than anything. Everything was well maintained the pool was clean and the grounds were clean and well lit. For some reason our room had an odor that wasn’t pleasant could never figure it out. Overall it was a great place to stay.

8Excellent

We enjoyed our stay.

Great variety. The food was a little cold. Very clean.
I had to walk to the front desk at night to get the bedding for the pull out bed.

8Excellent
The property was pet friendly, which was a key consideration for us. We rented 2 suites, 1 for us and 1 for my inlaws. When we were unpacking we found a huge spider web on the desk legs. We stayed for 4 days and asked for house keeping service when we checked in, but never received it. Outside of my inlaws room smelled strongly of pot on Sunday and Monday. The breakfast bar was very good! The front desk people were friendly and professional. The hotel was centrally located to everywhere we went with pretty short drive times.

3Poor

The staff was kind.

The breakfast was good and the room had a kitchen. Full size refrig, stove and dishwasher.
Stained old carpet, clogged tub (water wasnt draining) sofe bed was so bad..The springs in mattress were sticking out and had stains on it.
Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, noting their willingness to assist with special requests. The clean and well-maintained property also receives positive remarks, particularly the breakfast options and pet-friendly policy. However, many guests report issues with cleanliness and maintenance, including unpleasant odors in rooms, unaddressed housekeeping requests, and outdated furnishings.

Who Should Stay Here?

Families or travelers on longer stays will find value here. The full kitchen in each suite allows for cooking meals, which can save money compared to dining out. Friendly staff genuinely help with any needs, enhancing the overall experience. The convenient location near the airport and I-40 makes it easy to explore Nashville without the stress of long commutes. The ample breakfast options set guests up for busy days in the city. On the other hand, those seeking a polished and modern stay should probably look elsewhere. The rooms are starting to show their age, with outdated furnishings and cleanliness issues that can be off-putting. If amenities like a well-maintained pool are on your must-have list, this hotel may disappoint. Maintenance problems can disrupt your stay, making it less enjoyable than hoped.

The Verdict

Our Take

The Residence Inn by Marriott Nashville Airport offers friendly staff and convenient access to the airport and city, making it a solid choice for travelers. The breakfast is a highlight, and the full kitchens in suites cater well to families. However, the outdated rooms and cleanliness issues can detract from the experience. If you prioritize location and service over pristine accommodations, this hotel is worth considering.
