Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is a short walk from major attractions like the Palais Garnier and the Grand Magasins. This means you can easily explore Paris by foot and save on transportation costs.
  • The staff here is genuinely friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome and are willing to assist with local recommendations or any issues that arise during your stay.
  • Rooms are surprisingly spacious for a city hotel. This extra space gives you room to relax after a long day of sightseeing, making it feel less cramped than many city accommodations.
  • The breakfast lounge is a pleasant spot with a view of a small garden. It offers a serene atmosphere to start your day before heading out to explore the city.
  • The availability of laundry facilities is a major plus for longer stays. This convenience allows you to pack lighter and freshen up your clothes without having to find a laundromat.
  • On-site parking is a rarity in central Paris. This makes it easier if you're traveling by car, as you won't have to navigate the often chaotic parking situation in the city.
What doesn't
  • Cleanliness could be improved in some areas. This is concerning, especially in a city where you expect a high standard of hygiene.
  • Noise from the nearby bar can be disruptive at night. If you're a light sleeper, this may affect your ability to rest after a day of exploring.
  • Limited food options nearby can be frustrating. After a long day, you may not want to venture far for dinner, so having more choices within walking distance would be beneficial.
  • The lack of a smart TV feels outdated. In a city like Paris, where you might want to unwind with a show after a busy day, this can be a letdown.
  • Prices can be on the higher side for what you get. While the location is excellent, you may find better value elsewhere in terms of amenities.

This area is rich in history and culture, making it easy to get lost in its narrow streets and discover hidden gems. For those eager to explore, the location is a dream. The Palais Garnier is just a short walk away, along with the Galeries Lafayette for serious shopping. The metro stations nearby connect you effortlessly to other parts of the city. Location is good but otherwise not recommend.

None
Very little choices of food and not enough.
Guests consistently praise Citadines Opéra Paris for its excellent location, with many highlighting its proximity to major attractions and the Moulin Rouge. Cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms also receive positive mentions. However, complaints frequently center on the lack of amenities, such as a smart TV, and issues with noise from nearby bars, which detracts from the overall experience.

Who Should Stay Here?

Citadines Opéra Paris caters to travelers who value location and spacious accommodations. Those looking to explore the heart of Paris will appreciate being within walking distance of iconic sites like the Palais Garnier and the Grand Magasins. The friendly staff adds a personal touch, making it a good choice for visitors who enjoy local insights and assistance. Families or groups may find the extra space in the rooms particularly advantageous, allowing for a more comfortable stay after a day of sightseeing. On the other hand, light sleepers may want to consider alternative options due to noise from the nearby bar. If cleanliness is a top priority for you, the hotel may fall short of expectations. Additionally, foodies or guests seeking varied dining experiences might find the limited nearby options frustrating after a long day. For those who enjoy modern amenities like a smart TV, the lack of this feature could feel outdated in such a vibrant city.

The Verdict

Our Take

Citadines Opéra Paris offers a prime location near key attractions and spacious rooms that provide a welcome respite from the city's hustle. The friendly staff enhances the experience, and the breakfast lounge has a lovely ambiance. However, cleanliness issues and noise from a nearby bar could detract from your stay, along with limited dining options in the vicinity. If you prioritize location and room size over potential disturbances, this hotel is a solid choice for your Paris visit.
