Overview

Le Petit Oberkampf Hotel & Spa is a four-star property located in the lively Oberkampf area of Paris. Its proximity to the Northern Marais district and Canal Saint-Martin makes it a convenient base for travelers seeking both culture and relaxation. With the Filles du Calvaire Metro Station nearby, guests can easily access landmarks like Opéra Garnier and Galeries Lafayette. The hotel offers air-conditioned rooms that provide a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration.

Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is fantastic, allowing you to stroll to the vibrant Le Marais district or hop on a metro to reach landmarks like the Louvre in minutes. This means you can maximize your sightseeing without wasting time on transportation.
  • The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, ready to help with recommendations or any issues you might have. This kind of hospitality makes you feel welcomed, turning a good stay into a memorable one.
  • The hotel is clean and well-maintained, which is crucial for a comfortable stay. You won't have to worry about dirty linens or dingy bathrooms here.
  • Recent renovations give the hotel a fresh and stylish look, making your stay feel modern and comfortable unlike some of the more outdated options in Paris.
  • The spa offers a nice retreat after a day of exploring the city. It’s a small but thoughtful addition, giving you a chance to unwind without needing to leave the hotel.
What doesn't
  • Room sizes are quite small, which can feel cramped, especially if you're sharing with another person. This can be particularly challenging for travelers with larger luggage or those who enjoy a little extra space.
  • Breakfast options are limited, which might leave you searching for a good meal to start your day. Given Paris's rich culinary scene, you might want more variety without having to venture far.
  • Noise from the street at night can be disruptive, especially if you're a light sleeper. The lively atmosphere does come with its downsides, as local bars and clubs can keep you awake.
  • The absence of standard amenities like a mini fridge or iron is surprising for a four-star hotel. Having these conveniences can make your stay more comfortable and hassle-free.

Lovely hotel in my favourite bit of Paris

Hotel is in such a nice spot. And it's very recently renovated compared to so many hotels in Paris I've stayed in. Also more spacious than some Parisian hotels I've previously stayed in.

A very pleasant experience from the slippers to the chocolate to the water to the employees through the overall upkeep o

The property is well kept. It is very comfortable and the amenities you offer are wonderful. Only thing I would suggest is maybe a choice of pillows.
All the amenities and offerings were perfect just for our liking we would’ve wanted the spa to be a bit warmer

7Very Good
Comfy bead and good location
Very small room, very poor breakfast options, no veggies available
Guests repeatedly praise Le Petit Oberkampf Hotel & Spa for its excellent location, cleanliness, and recent renovations. However, complaints often focus on noise from the street and the limited breakfast options, with several reviewers expressing a desire for more spacious rooms and additional amenities.

Who Should Stay Here?

Le Petit Oberkampf is a great fit for travelers who value location and hospitality over spacious accommodations. If you thrive on exploring vibrant neighborhoods and appreciate a team that goes the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable, this hotel will impress you. The proximity to Le Marais and quick metro access allows you to maximize your time in Paris without the hassle of long commutes. Clean, modern rooms ensure a pleasant retreat after a day of sightseeing. On the other hand, guests who prioritize space and amenities might want to consider other options. The small room sizes can be challenging, especially for those traveling with larger luggage. If a hearty breakfast buffet or a quiet environment is essential for your stay, you might leave feeling underwhelmed. Families or groups needing extra comfort and convenience may find this hotel lacking in those respects.
