Pros & Cons

What works
  • The hotel is clean and tidy, which makes a difference when you're returning after a long day of exploring. You want to feel at home, and cleanliness goes a long way.
  • Staff members are friendly and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere that can make your stay much more enjoyable. A smile and helpful attitude can turn a good trip into a great one.
  • Rooms are comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. A good night's sleep is crucial, and these rooms deliver just that.
  • The spa is a standout feature, perfect for unwinding with a massage or a dip in the pool. After busy days, having a place to relax is a real treat.
  • The location, while a bit far from central attractions, offers a quieter experience. A short walk to the tram makes it manageable, and you can enjoy local spots away from the tourist crowds.
  • Breakfast offers a lot of choices, ensuring you can start your day right. It's nice to have a hearty meal before heading out to explore the city.
What doesn't
  • Some staff members can be rude, which can tarnish the experience when you're looking for a friendly face. Good service matters when you're away from home.
  • The location isn't as central as expected, with a 45-minute walk to key sights. If you're planning to spend a lot of time in the heart of Amsterdam, this could be a hassle.
  • Issues with room amenities, such as inadequate lighting, can make it hard to get ready for a night out. You want to feel comfortable and prepared, and poor lighting can put a damper on that.
  • The hotel requires a €150 deposit, even if your room is fully paid. This can be frustrating, especially when the refund process takes time and can cost you money due to exchange rates.

10Exceptional

Good value for the money

Very friendly and professional staff. Everything was very clean and spacious room. The location is also good, 5 min walk from the tram and just 3 stops to the central station. A lot of choice for breakfast but we had a nice dinner too at the hotel restaurant.
It could be a bit warmer in the bathroom in winter.

Staff quick and friendly. Pool and gym open early and quiet first thing.

The staff were amazing. The swimming pool was amazing. The breakfast was amazing. Just a shame that the room wasn't

The stuff was really lovely
The room wasn't clean enough. There was everywhere on the floor and on the bed fake eyelashes that was a bit disgusting. And a lot of cigarettes outside the window.
Guests consistently praise the friendly and professional staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the good value for money. However, complaints often focus on issues like inadequate room lighting, uncomfortable bathroom temperatures in winter, and cleanliness problems in some rooms.
