  • The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring Amsterdam's vibrant streets.
  • The friendly staff goes out of their way to assist with requests, making you feel welcomed and valued throughout your stay.
  • The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, which is a great advantage for longer stays or when you want to save on dining out.

  • The location strikes a balance between being quiet and accessible, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful retreat while still having the city just a bike ride away.
What doesn't
  • There are some cleanliness issues noted, which can be concerning. You may find yourself searching for a spotless environment in shared spaces.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity is weak, which can be frustrating if you need to stay connected for work or want to stream shows in your room.
  • The wellness area is small and may not meet expectations if you're hoping for a full spa experience; you'll find limited options like a sauna and steam room.
  • Windows that only open slightly can make the air feel stuffy, limiting ventilation and the chance to enjoy that fresh Amsterdam breeze.
  • Some minor room details, like the lack of additional storage or power sockets by the bed, can create small inconveniences during your stay.

Great place to stay and city to explore. Friendly staff who seem happy in their wotking environment, Notting too much fo

Beautiful environment, great location, not too far from some local cafes and supermarket, bus stops to Central Station. The hotel had a great spar which was included in the booking of accommodation. Accessible with a lift to all floors and a ramp into the building. Rooms were spacious and had everything you would need - coffee machine with pods, fridge and toiletries. Great restaurant and bar for those who may like breakfast on site or a coffee at the end of a busy day.

Would definitely stay here again

Everything ! You feel at home as soon as you step into the room, the design is beautiful and staff is extremely nice.
A little bit far from the city centre, but still walkable (30-40min) so it wasn’t a big deal at all!

Beautiful hotel, great set up, but very expensive.

The breakfast was great, nice to order a meal and have buffet options. The hotel is stunning, well kept, clean, spacious. the room was really nice, very spacious.
Very expensive and a little remote. Had to take the bus and then a 10mins walk. The shower door does not seal properly and so water went everywhere and made the bathroom very damp - especially since the bathroom door closes automatically, couldn't leave it open to dry it out.

8Excellent
Everything was so nice and perfect, except the bed
In the queen bed, they put two single mattress. It was very disappointed.
Guests consistently praise the friendly and attentive staff, spacious rooms, and the appealing environment of The July - Boat & Co. Many appreciate the amenities, such as the gym and the spa. However, complaints often center around the hotel's distance from the city center and issues like the high price and problems with bathroom fixtures.

Who Should Stay Here?

The July - Boat & Co is best for travelers seeking a picturesque stay with stunning views and comfortable accommodations. Those who appreciate friendly service will feel genuinely welcomed here. If you plan to stay for a longer period, the well-equipped kitchen offers a great way to save on meals and enjoy the local ingredients. This hotel suits couples and families looking for a cozy and scenic retreat after a day of exploring Amsterdam. On the other hand, this hotel may not suit those who prioritize cleanliness and strong Wi-Fi connectivity. If you need reliable internet for work or streaming, the weak connection could be a dealbreaker. Additionally, the small wellness area lacks the amenities often expected in a full-service hotel, making it less appealing for guests looking to indulge in a spa experience. If you crave a space that feels pristine and offers extensive leisure facilities, you might want to consider other options.
