Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is super central, making it easy to explore major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. You can step outside and find yourself within walking distance of iconic sites like La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter.
  • Rooms are spacious and clean, offering a comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing. Fresh linens and a tidy environment enhance your overall experience.
  • The lobby features impressive bookshelves that create a welcoming atmosphere. It's a nice touch that sets the tone for a cozy stay.
  • The staff is exceptionally friendly and eager to assist, making you feel valued as a guest. Their helpfulness is a major plus when navigating the city.
  • The bar has skilled bartenders who prepare excellent tapas, adding a local flavor to your dining experience. Enjoying a drink here is a great way to unwind after a day out.
  • A complimentary sparkling wine upon arrival and departure adds a special touch to your stay. It's a nice way to celebrate your time in the city, especially if you're marking a special occasion.
  • The hotel offers a spa and swimming pool, which can be a refreshing escape. Even if you only have a short time, the 30-minute complimentary access is a nice bonus.
What doesn't
  • The breakfast price can feel steep, especially if you plan to eat out at local cafes instead. You might want to weigh the costs against nearby dining options.
  • Limited TV options might be disappointing if you want to catch up on shows after a long day. The lack of variety could leave you feeling bored in your room.
  • The inability to open windows can be frustrating for those who prefer fresh air. If you find the room stuffy, the air conditioning may feel inadequate.
  • The bathroom shows signs of wear and could benefit from renovations. This might detract from the overall impression of an otherwise modern hotel.
  • Some rooms have small lights that can be bothersome at night, making it hard to sleep. If you’re sensitive to light, it might affect your rest.

Great hotel in the heart of Barcelona

The location of this hotel is great. It’s super central and you can reach the bus, train and even some of the must-seen sightseeing places. The rooms was spacious and very clean. The hotel lobby with the huge book shelves are an amazing sight to see when walking into the hotel. I stayed during my birthday and received champagne and cheesecake!

8Excellent
All the little lights in the room made it difficult for me to sleep. No opening of the windows possible. Very dry air with air con that was difficult to manage.
Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and the hotel's central location, which makes it easy to explore Barcelona. However, complaints frequently mention issues with room lighting and air conditioning, which can disrupt sleep quality.

Who Should Stay Here?

Seventy Barcelona offers great value for travelers who prioritize location and comfort. If you want to explore famous attractions like La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter without wasting time on transport, this hotel delivers. The spacious rooms provide a clean and inviting environment, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Friendly staff enhance the experience with their eagerness to help you navigate the city, making your stay feel personalized and enjoyable. However, if you are looking for a luxurious experience or extensive in-room entertainment options, you might want to consider other hotels. The breakfast can seem pricey compared to nearby cafes, and the limited TV choices may leave you feeling restless after a long day. Additionally, if fresh air is essential for you, the inability to open windows might be a dealbreaker. Those who seek modern bathrooms may also find the wear and tear disappointing.
