  • Free snacks and beverages are available in the lobby, which is a thoughtful touch that can save you from having to run out for a quick bite.
What doesn't

  • Breakfast quality has received mixed reviews, with many guests finding the offerings average and not worth the extra charge, especially if you prefer a hearty start to your day.

10Exceptional

Event at the Andaz

We hosted a two-day event in the Panorama Suite, complete with hotel-wide branding, in-room drops, a 30+ room block, and special arrangements to park Cadillacs out front. The entire team was incredibly accommodating, quick to respond, flexible with last-minute changes, and genuinely collaborative throughout the process. Not to mention the rooms were clean and beautiful, and everyone loved the Andaz-branded water bottles! Anne was especially outstanding to work with. She was consistently available by phone, text, and in person, and truly made us feel supported every step of the way. She kept everything organized, communicated seamlessly with the broader hotel team, and expertly managed special requests including room drops, dietary restrictions, and logistics. Anne took the time to walk us through each component of the BEO and associated costs, ensuring complete alignment and transparency throughout. Her professionalism and personal approach were unmatched. We highly recommend working with Anne and her colleague, Marissa. Additionally, the valet team deserves special recognition, they were fantastic partners and a pleasure to work with.

Beautiful and very trendy hotel in the heart of WeHo. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Best location, view from the Pool Deck is spectacular. Beds were medium firmness and very comfy.
The hotel was very stylish and very trendy. However, the hotel does feel a little Aged. It may be due for an update.

I thought for the price it would be more on the nicer side but it was just okay

Adminisphere was good, relaxing and clean
I payed extra for a nice view. I booked weeks before my stay and they put my fiancé and I in the 3rd floor with view to the parking lot. I called the front desk they said they were sorry but the rooms were all booked for that night. That they could offer me a $25 voucher to use at their hotel “store”. Like what!

Do not stay here

I will never stay at this hotel again. It was genuinely the worst experience with how many things went wrong and the attitude of staff, especially with what you’re paying for. I requested early check in and connecting rooms, which they weren’t able to accommodate and that was totally fine with me because hotels can never guarantee it. But once I arrived with my party (3 hours before check in) I got in the queue for early check in. I asked the woman helping me a question and she was condescending and passive aggressive which made me feel uncomfortable to ask anything. I waited in the lobby, as did many others awaiting early check in. Slowly, the lobby became empty as people got their rooms but I still waited for over 2 hours until the staff walked by me and realized I was still in the lobby and said she’d check on my room for me and come and update me. She never did and I never got the text from the queue letting me know the room was ready. I finally went up to the desk again to check in and another staff member was there and let me know the room had already been ready…..this was frustrating because there was no communication once the room was ready as promised. I finally get to my room and they gave me the wrong room. I paid for a blvd facing room (100$ more expensive) and they gave me a smaller room that faced the back parking lot. Once I let staff know they gave me the wrong room, they tried to say there’s essentially no price difference between rooms. I had to pull up my email confirmation and THEIR OWN WEBSITE to show them which type of room I got and their prices as shown online. They still tried to say there’s no difference but they’ll fix my room. They also offered to let me stay in the room and they’d take 32$ off. Keep in mind the room I paid for was 100$ more expensive than the room they put me in…they also weren’t apologetic for this at all. I don’t expect much, mistakes happen. But being okay with letting me pay extra for the nicer room while staying in the smaller room with no view was not cool and they were just like oh..okay. I also want to note that once I initially told the staff they gave us the wrong room, she said she was going to look into it and call us. She never did. This was twice now that she said she’d come back with an update and never did. Once this got resolved, which of course took a while, we got our room and the door was jammed and was hard to open to the point it seemed locked. We had to push really hard to get in, which I’ll note wasn’t a huge deal, just inconvenient after the already bad experience I was having. Anyways, wasn’t a big deal until the toilet flooded. It got my clothes soaked with toilet water …we let the front desk know on our way out to dinner and they said they’d fix it. Once we got back, the toilet had still not been fixed because the maintenance man couldn’t get in because of the door being hard to open. It eventually got fixed thankfully but it was just a series of inconveniences. I never write reviews but this was my worst experience at a hotel . I expected more from what seemed like a great place to stay. I do not recommend, I’m sure the nearby hotels are a lot better than the Andaz.
Guests consistently praise the Andaz West Hollywood for its accommodating staff, particularly highlighting the professionalism of team members like Anne, who ensure smooth event planning. However, complaints frequently revolve around poor communication and room assignment issues, with some guests expressing frustration over receiving incorrect rooms and inadequate responses from staff. Additionally, the hotel's age and road noise are noted as concerns, suggesting a need for updates and soundproofing.

Who Should Stay Here?

The Andaz West Hollywood caters to young travelers and nightlife enthusiasts looking for an energetic atmosphere. If you thrive in bustling environments and enjoy being at the center of Los Angeles' vibrant scene, this hotel places you right on the Sunset Strip, with easy access to bars, restaurants, and shops. The friendly staff and spacious rooms can enhance your stay, making the experience enjoyable and relaxing after a night out. On the other hand, those seeking a tranquil retreat or a family-friendly environment might want to consider other options. The noise from the street and nearby venues can be disruptive, especially for light sleepers. Additionally, if you prioritize cleanliness or expect a robust breakfast to kickstart your day, you might find the offerings here lacking. The high security deposit could also be a surprise, which might not sit well with budget-conscious travelers.

The Verdict

Our Take

Andaz West Hollywood offers a lively experience right on the Sunset Strip, making it a prime choice for those wanting to dive into the nightlife and local dining scene. The spacious rooms and friendly staff enhance the stay, and the rooftop pool provides a fantastic escape with stunning views. However, be prepared for noise disruptions from the bustling surroundings and consider the high security deposit and average breakfast options. If you prioritize location and comfort over silence and breakfast quality, this hotel is a solid choice.
