Pros & Cons

What works
  • It's incredibly affordable for Nashville, making it a great choice if you're trying to save money while visiting the city.
  • The location is convenient, with city center only about a 15-minute drive away, allowing easy access to Nashville's attractions and a variety of restaurants nearby.
  • Friendly staff will greet you upon arrival and help with any issues you might encounter during your stay, adding a personal touch to your experience.
  • Rooms come equipped with a fridge and coffee maker, which is handy for late-night snacks or morning coffee without needing to leave the hotel.
  • The bed quality is surprisingly good, with five pillows on a king-size bed, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep after a long day of exploring.
What doesn't
  • The overall room quality feels dated, which can make your stay less enjoyable if you value modern amenities and aesthetics.
  • Cleanliness issues, such as hair left in the bed, might leave some guests feeling uneasy about the sanitation standards upheld by housekeeping.
  • The lack of amenities is noticeable; for example, breakfast isn't provided, pushing you to seek out food elsewhere, which can be a hassle.
  • The automatic sliding door to the lobby is broken, requiring manual operation, which can be inconvenient after a long drive or with luggage in tow.
  • The exterior room access can feel less secure for some, as it lacks the traditional hallway entry most people associate with hotels.

Great value

I needed a last minute place to stay. Don't let the star rating fool you. The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was accommodating to a hidden disability. Slept good. Double decker fridge and newish microwave. If you have a heavy vehicle, don't park by the office because of slope. This will be my go to place when I am too tired to drive home or bad weather.

8Excellent
The staff was great. Our room did not have a clothes rack. The breakfast was good but there was no where to sit except outside by the busy road. Our room also did not have a stuffed chair to sit and read or put shoes on. No elevator was hard on us as we are elderly. I understand the room was inexpensive but with the Whyndham name I guess I thought It would be more upgraded. no hair dryer but the staff got us one.

The bed in the room has a bar that sticks out and has sharp edges. I bumped into several times and sustained a few cuts on my leg.

4Poor
When I pulled up to the property it was very dark and uninviting. I went to check in and the lady at the front was nice. When I got in my 1st room it had dirty towels on the counter and the sink was clogged up. The lady at the front put me in another room which was a little better; the sheets weren’t the cleanest, the phone didn’t work and the room didn’t have an iron. Overall all it’s a one night only type of place.
Guests frequently praise the staff for their friendliness and willingness to accommodate special requests. Cleanliness and comfort of the rooms also receive positive remarks, especially when guests need a last-minute stay. However, complaints often center on outdated amenities, lack of proper furnishings, and issues with cleanliness in some rooms, highlighting a need for improvement in overall maintenance.

Who Should Stay Here?

Budget travelers will find significant value at Days Inn by Wyndham Nashville Saint Thomas West Hospital. If you are looking to explore Nashville without breaking the bank, this hotel offers affordable rates and a convenient location just a short drive from downtown. The friendly staff adds a personal touch that enhances the experience, making it a decent choice for those who prioritize savings over luxury. Rooms equipped with a fridge and coffee maker also provide a bit of comfort for guests wanting to keep snacks and drinks on hand. However, if you seek modern amenities or pristine conditions, this hotel is likely not for you. The dated room quality and cleanliness issues can detract from your overall experience, especially if you have higher standards for accommodations. Additionally, the lack of breakfast options and the broken sliding door could frustrate those who prefer convenience and efficiency during their travels.
