Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is central, making it easy to access major business hubs in the Financial District. You're just a short walk from places like the World Trade Center and several subway lines that connect you to the rest of the city.
  • The rooms are consistently clean, which is crucial after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. A tidy space can make your stay feel more comfortable and inviting.
  • The staff members are generally friendly, with some guests highlighting exceptional service at the front desk. A warm welcome can set the tone for your entire stay and make you feel valued as a guest.
  • The hotel is near a variety of dining options, from quick bites to sit-down meals. This makes it convenient to grab breakfast before heading out or enjoy a late dinner without having to travel far.
  • The availability of coffee and tea in the lobby and rooms adds a nice touch. It’s a small convenience, but it can be a lifesaver in the mornings or when you need a caffeine boost in the afternoon.
What doesn't
  • Service can be hit or miss, with some guests reporting less-than-stellar experiences. An unhelpful staff can leave you feeling frustrated, especially if you need assistance during your stay.
  • Some areas of the hotel appear outdated and in need of maintenance. Dim lighting and small rooms can detract from the overall comfort and enjoyment of your stay.
  • The hotel can feel a bit sketchy at times, with reports of homeless individuals in the lobby area. This might make some guests uncomfortable and could impact your sense of safety.
  • The price doesn't always reflect the value, especially considering the room sizes and amenities. If you're looking for a more spacious experience, you might want to explore other options.
  • Noise from neighboring rooms can be an issue, especially if you’re sensitive to sound. A loud neighbor can disrupt your sleep and affect your overall experience.

Room was very clean. Staff was super friendly. Coffee/Tea always available in the lobby and also replenished in the room. Location was awesome, since the subway was basically around the corner with a lot of subway lines available. World Trade Center One not far away, as well as other interesting places. Lots of good food options in the area. Bagel Market is awesome.
The AC/Heater was a bit loud.

Good value for money

Big room for NYC standards. Clean. Good value for money for NYC.
The heating/ventilation system was so loud it was an issue to be able to sleep. Not able to switch it totally off.
Guests consistently praise the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff, with many highlighting the exceptional service provided by individuals like Jose at the front desk. However, complaints frequently arise regarding the noise from the heating and air conditioning systems, which some found disruptive to their sleep, as well as the need for better-maintained windows.

Who Should Stay Here?

Business travelers will find great value here due to the hotel's prime location in the Financial District. Proximity to major corporate offices and easy access to public transportation make it convenient for those with packed schedules. The clean rooms provide a welcome refuge after long days, and the friendly staff can enhance the overall experience. Leisure travelers or those seeking a cozy retreat should consider looking elsewhere. The hotel’s outdated areas and small room sizes may not provide the comfort desired for a relaxing getaway. Additionally, the occasional reports of uncomfortable situations in the lobby can detract from the peace of mind that many travelers seek. If spaciousness and a more inviting atmosphere are high on your list, you might want to explore other options.
