Pros & Cons

What works
  • The location is just a short walk from Termini Station, which makes it convenient for catching trains or buses without the hassle of long commutes.
  • The staff are genuinely friendly and eager to help, which can make your stay feel more welcoming and personal, like a home away from home.
  • Breakfast is included and offers a decent variety of options, providing a good start to your day without the need to hunt for a nearby café.
  • The charming architecture of the building adds character, making it a pleasant place to return to after a day of sightseeing.
  • Proximity to shopping areas means you can easily pop out for essentials or souvenirs without much effort, saving time during your trip.
What doesn't
  • Cleanliness issues can put a damper on your stay; guests have reported dirty walls and unkempt bathrooms, which can detract from the overall experience.
  • The room quality feels more like a budget hostel than a hotel, with problems such as thin walls and old fixtures that may not meet your expectations for comfort.
  • Discrepancies between booked and actual room can lead to disappointment, especially if you were looking forward to specific amenities that weren't provided.
  • The check-out process is strict, which can feel rushed and might not leave you enough time to enjoy your last moments in the city.
  • Lack of basic amenities like a kettle or coffee in the room can be frustrating, especially if you enjoy a morning brew to start your day.

Location
It’s not a hotel, it’s like a small kind of old hostel, you’re not really treated as hotel guest. No one picked up luggage to room No coffee/water in room (just empty) Strict on checkout process
Guests consistently praise Hotel Villa Delle Rose for its convenient location and friendly staff. However, many reviews highlight complaints about the lack of basic amenities like kettles and coffee in rooms, and some feel the atmosphere resembles a hostel rather than a hotel.

Who Should Stay Here?

Budget travelers and those prioritizing location will find value at Hotel Villa Delle Rose. Its proximity to Termini Station allows for easy access to various parts of Rome, making it a practical choice for those planning to explore the city. Friendly staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, and the included breakfast means you can save some euros while starting your day with a decent meal. The charming architecture adds a bit of character that enhances the overall experience. On the other hand, travelers looking for luxury or modern comfort should steer clear. Issues with cleanliness and room quality can be significant drawbacks, especially for those who expect a certain standard. If you’re sensitive to noise or require well-maintained amenities, this hotel may not meet your needs. The strict check-out process further adds to the feeling of being rushed, which can be a dealbreaker for those wanting to savor their final moments in Rome.

Our Take

Hotel Villa Delle Rose has its charms, especially with its convenient location near Termini Station and a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. The breakfast is decent and the architecture adds character, making it pleasant to return to after a day out.
